How Are Kids Learning to Read with Tonies?

Did you know that there are different types of Tonies? Tonies has a line of audio characters that go along with some of your favorite children’s books! Some of these include, Llama Llama Red Pajama book series, Dragon’s Love Tacos, LMNO Peas, Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? Roald Dahl books and more. Grab your favorite book and follow along as the Tonies read the book!
Literacy Statistics/Study 2023
Parents initially worried that Tonies would decrease their child’s interest in reading books, but actually the opposite held true. In 2023 Tonies conducted a study that shows that children who listened to Tonies improved in reading skills, had an increase desire to read books, and improved literacy skills.
An impact measurement study involving 100 families in the UK and USA, with
children aged 2-5, was conducted between January and June 2023 to investigate
the developmental benefits of children’s regular engagement with a selection of
Tonies, some designed for bedtime and others from Tonies’ learning centers. The results were overwhelmingly positive with 70% of parents reporting that ongoing

engagement with the Tonies has been beneficial for their children. Of the parents
who reported bedtimes as a struggle, the Tonies improved bedtime for 92% of them
within the initial 2 week observation period. Children improved on every metric
(attention, comprehension and vocabulary) over the course of the study.

Improving Bedtime with Tonies
After receiving our first Tonies audio player we found that my daughters ages 6 and 7 were staying in their room and going to sleep easier with the help of some of the relaxing Tonies such as the Sleepy Sheep Tonie, Bedtime Songs and Lullaby Tonie, and stories from the Red Riding Hood and Other Fairy Tales Tonie.
