Things To Do In Las Vegas With Kids

Thinking about visiting Vegas? Well it may surprise you, but there are SO MANY things to do WITH KIDS in Las Vegas! We have lived in fabulous Las Vegas now for 4 years and we absolutely love it! I often get asked by my followers who are visiting Vegas, what are some fun activities to do with kids while they’re here on vacation. Here are some of our favorites as well as resources for you to check out on your next trip to Vegas!

Activities

Things to Do With Kids in Las Vegas On The Strip

Circus Circus Carnivals, circus acts, arcades and family rides

High Roller The high roller is the giant ferris wheel over looking Las Vegas. It’s like a big circle room with glass windows so it’s perfect to bring even young children and strollers if need be.

Aquariums We love visiting the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay! This aquarium is on the smaller side, but it’s super fun and even has one of those clear shark tunnels you can walk through.

Bellagio We love taking the girls to see the different seasonal displays at the Bellagio Hotel. The displays are elaborate and free to walk through. My girls also love the fountain show.

M&M World If you’re near the strip, stopping the M&M world is so fun with the kids. They love seeing all of the fun M&M statues, products and creating their own goodie bags with different flavors of M&Ms.

Shows If you’re looking for a kid friendly show on the strip, they often have magic shows that are fairly inexpensive as well as other family friendly shows like Excalibur. Just a forewarning though, the food isn’t all that great, and they make you eat with your hands, which is kind of fun, but my post 2020 quarantined-high anxiety-self wasn’t too thrilled about it haha. My kids still loved it nonetheless and it’s a great thing for kids to do in Las Vegas.

Things to Do With Kids in Las Vegas Near the Strip (but not on)

Discovery Kids Museum The Discovery Kids Museum is always a hit with my kids and you truly could spend all day there! There aren’t great lunch options though, so pack a lunch if you intend to spend most of the day there.

Slime Time My girls loved going to slime time and creating their own slime. They get to pick the texture, color, scents and add ins. Town Square also has other cute shops and restaurants nearby along with some live story times for kids on Saturdays.

Seven Magic Mountains near Las Vegas Nevada

Things To Do With Kids In Las Vegas Off The Strip

7 Magic Mountains The bright painted rocks are like real life rock blocks and are so much fun to see! (pictured above)

Hike the Red Rocks This is a fun hiking area for kids. We even took our toddler with us once. While you’re there check out Red Rock Canyon Discovery Plaza.

Mermaid at Bass Pro Shop Maybe not your typical stop, but one my girls absolutely love and it’s FREE! Make sure to check out the mermaid that swims by and waves “hi” at Bass Pro Shop’s large aquarium while you’re also viewing some of the amazing fish. Bass Pro Shop also has some fun children’s toys too, and my girls also love seeing the animals displayed.

The District at Green Valley Ranch This is actually more of a little shopping area, but it’s super cute and has a mini splash pad with a nice seating area and sometimes some live music while you play. You can also go to a movie at the nearby Green Valley Hotel.

The Lion Habitat The Lion Habitat is kind of like a mini zoo, but there are only lions, a giraffe who paints, and a couple of large emus.

Ethel Chocolate Factory We love visiting Ethel Chocolate Factory for the yummy chocolate, hot chocolate and to walk through the cactus gardens. In the winter time the cactus garden is lit up for the season and it is fun seeing the displays.

Dig This We haven’t personally been here before, but it looks amazing and is on our list! Definitely one to check out.

Uptown Jungle If you’re needing an area for your child to burn some energy, we love Uptown Jungle. Uptown Jungle has an infant/toddler area away from the bigger kids, tramps, climbing areas, rock climbing walls, and slides.

Natural History Museum A fun museum for the entire family and the perfect edition to our list of fun things to do with kids in Las Vegas!

Springs Preserve Although the Butterfly Habitat is seasonal, there are other fun things to see and visit at the Springs Preserve such as the museums, water conservation education, train rides, toddler time, and the cafe.

Mini Grand Prix Another one we haven’t personally done, but it’s on our Summer bucket list.

Red Rock Canyon Lost Creek Childrens Discovery Trail.

Splash Pads Because of the extreme heat in the Summer, You can find free splash pads all over Las Vegas!

Cowabunga Bay Cowabunga Bay is a large water park and always a hit with kids of all ages!

Parks There are a lot of fun parks in the Las Vegas area. We especially love Fox Hill Park, and Arbors Tennis and Play Park.

Jellyland I shared this fun ultimate sensory store on my instagram and you guys loved it! So I’m adding it to the list, because it’s a piece of sensory heaven.

Gilcrease Orchard Gilcrease Orchard is especially fun to visit in the fall for the homemade apple cider donuts and apple cider. An unexpected but exciting one on our list of fun things for kids to do in Las Vegas. My mouth is drooling right now as we speak! Yum!
