Livy is my 8 year old daughter and I thought it would be fun to put together a little gift guide revolving around things she absolutely loves!
Adjustable Roller Blades The girls cousin came over a few weeks ago and brought these roller blades and they were all obsessed! I love that they are adjustable and able to grow with your child. We will definitely be getting Livy these for Christmas. She loved them!
Digital Piggy Bank I love this piggy bank! We are working with Livy in particular about savings and pathing tithes when she earns money, and this digital piggy bank helps her keep track.
Reversible Emotional Plush Octopus Okay this may seem silly, but it’s also like the cutest thing ever haha. They have different color options and emotions, and these octopi are just too cute.
Tri-Color Scented Pens The reviews on these pens though were shocking! We don’t have these ones yet, but my 8 year old is constantly drawing and journaling, and I’m sure she’s going to love these.
Kids Vans Yup need these in my size too. So stinking cute.
Yoto Player We love our Yoto players! Each of my girls have one and they are the best. The cards that you can purchase separately are so much fun. My girls love the different variety of audio books, music, and meditation cards. They also love the kids podcast which is also interactive. For example the podcast host might say, “find something in your house that’s round” and the girls will run around looking for items and try to hurry back before he continues. There is also a “create your own” card where you can record things and add it to a card. I loved recording my parent’s read the girls stories the last time they were here and now we have it for the girls to listen to grandpa and grandma whenever they want!
Yoto Book Cards + Kids Bop Kids These are the cards you can purchase to add to your yoto player. Livy especially loved the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and the Kids Bop Kids music cards. We love to add more of these cards whenever we can! These make the perfect stocking stuffers!
Beginner Skateboard These skateboards come in multiple designs and are perfect for beginning learners. Livy is always wanting to learn how to do more things, and the price is also perfect on these!
Harry Potter Figures We are Harry Potter obsessed over here, and my little soon to be 8 year old has already ready the first 5 books. These figurines are adorable. She typically doesn’t love playing dolls, but she will love having these on her desk in her room.
Gabb Watch We have been looking into the Gabb watch for a long time now, and finally purchased one for her after hearing so many amazing reviews from family and friends. I love how secure this watch is. It has GPS tracking, we can text and call her without others being able to, and you can even set a radius that alerts you if she is outside of that particular zone. I don’t currently have a discount code, but we used code DAVID for a discount. They are also currently running a promotion for the holidays where you can get a FREE Gabb watch with a 2 year contract or you can pay half price for a 1 year contract.
Sketch Notebook I love seeing my 8 year old’s creative mind work. She often is either drawing or writing her feelings in a notebook. My brother in law gave her the hard cover Denik notebook and the plain pages are perfect for her creative expression. You can even design your own covers on their site! Use Discount Code: PURPOSE25
Stationery Set
My 8 year old loves sending mail to her friends, cousins and grandparents and this animal stationery is the perfect kit to bring back handwritten letters/mail!
Remote Control Robot Dog
Livy saved up her money and chose this robotic dog not too long ago and she loves it. The different bones allow you to create various moving sequences for your dog to perform.
Kid’s Media Desk and Chair Set
Livy got this desk a year ago and it’s still one of her favorite spaces in her room. She loves that it’s all hers and she can not only use it to write or draw, but to display some of her favorite things on.
Harry Potter Bead Kit
A craft + Harry Potter = Livy’s love language!
Lego Friends
Legos are always a fun option, especially when you start slowing down on toys as gifts. My dad always said, “you always need a toy at Christmas” so even as adults he would give us some toys. There are endless lego sets out there. My girls particularly enjoy the Lego Friends sets.
